I have an account on FanFiction.Net. It’s been 3 years since I last opened it or rather, wrote and posted something. Then, it’s been a week since a plot wandered off my mind. So, I decided to open my account. After a few log-in attempts (Yes, it happens to people who isn’t updating for a a very long time), I read my very own stories and can’t help but laugh. Of course, looking from the date it was published, I had 3 stories which were written 5 years ago. 1 of the 3 is incomplete and sad to say, to be discontinued. Another thing, reading my own stories made me a stranger to myself. Like, “Did I really write this? I never knew I had been so active in writing fiction before.” Totally bewildered.
One thing great about writing is the reviews you get from readers, some of which are also authors, who critic your work. I’ve also read the reviews again and I was surprised to see one or two of my favorite authors complimented my stories. I feel happy again and I might add, inspired as of the moment. Maybe this is a sign that I should continue with writing the story in my head. Just maybe if I don’t get too lazy to think of what would happen next as the story goes on.
As a writer, we always want to get a good feedback from our readers. I mean, who wouldn’t? So we always see to it that every grammar and diction is proofread before publishing to avoid some unnecessary comments from your readers. Criticisms are good in way that it’s constructive for your part but there are times when you’d feel offended but that’s okay. Nobody is perfect. Cliché as it may sound but it’s true.
So if anybody is interested, feel free to read my stories. I would add that its main genre is Romance. Yes, everybody loves romance. We would want to get the giddy feel of falling in love and being with someone close.
